Student CouncilThis is a featured page

Student Council is a group of eighth grade students who are elected by their peers to represent them in various Student Council meetings. The Student Council Executive Board meets daily to learn leadership skills and to make sure that student concerns are heard. In addition, students from sixth and seventh grades are selected by their teachers for participation in Leadership classs during third of fourth quarters. The Executive Council takes a leadership role during these classes by teaching lessons and running activities.

Student Council does many things at Martin. We learn about democracy. We participate in many different school activities and make many decisions that affect the student body. We plan, set up, and run the school dances. We attend leadership workshops across the state to learn new skills to bring back and share with Martin students. We teach others leadership and character. We also volunteer in our community and complete service projects. It is a great honor to be a member of Martin Student Council!
